Sustainability Art Show Curator
Job Description

The Sustainability Art Show Curator student intern will be in charge of curating small art shows exploring sustainable aesthetics and the interconnectedness of the environment, economy, social equity, and aesthetics in the new sustainability office in Moran Commons. The student will be charged with putting a call out to artists, curating the shows, hanging shows, and planning art show openings.

 

Qualifications

  • background, or experience, or strong interest in Sustainability or the Arts
  • Enrollment as a UNCG student
  • Schedule that allows for up to 10 hours of work per week
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines

An ideal candidate possesses

  • Curator experience
  • Event planning experience
  • A background in Sustainability and the Arts

 

 

Pay: $9/hr

Green Room Intern
Job Description:

The Office of Sustainability is looking for a creative and motivated intern to help further sustainability at UNCG. The Federal Work Study student will work to implement the Green Room Certification program in on campus housing and gain a greater understanding of sustainability at UNCG. The intern will gain valuable experience in implementing programming, education and outreach, and working with campus facilities.

 

Qualifications

Student:

– is eligible for Federal Work Study Position.

– has a strong interest or background in sustainability.

– can think creatively to solve problems.

– has strong communication skills.

– is knowledge of Microsoft Office.

– possesses the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

 

Pay: $9/hr

Social Media Intern
 Job Description:

The social media intern will work to implement the Office of Sustainability’s social media plan. The Federal Work Study student will be responsible for things such as the creation of some social media content including photography and graphic content and working collaboratively with office staff to plan, post, upkeep, and analyze media. Media content will be in the areas of sustainability education, motivation, and communication of UNCG sustainability happenings.

 

Qualifications

Student:

– is eligible for Federal Work Study Position.

– is knowledgeable of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

– has a strong interest or background in sustainability.

– has strong communication skills.

– is knowledgeable of Microsoft Office.

– possesses the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

 
Pay: $9/hr
